What is a 4.3/10 Din Type RF Connector

Summary

The 4.3/10 Din type rf connector is a robust and waterproof series. It is often used in mobile communication base stations for radios and antennas made overseas. We have an extensive lineup of connectors for copper corrugated cables for power feed lines, waterproof terminators and waterproof caps for empty ports, 7/16 Din type rf connectors, and connectors for conversion to and from N type rf connectors.

4.3/10 Din Type RF Connector Features

Large Size

4.3/10 Din type connectors are relatively large and high-power connectors.
Its high-power and superior weather resistance is suitable for outdoor radios and mobile base station antenna devices.
Their body which is 30-40% smaller than 7/16 Din type connectors, makes us easier to use it in the limited space.

Trivia: Coaxial Cable Thickness

The thicker the coaxial cable, the less flexible it is, but the better the characteristic impedance with less noise and loss. Usually, the longer the cable is, the worse the characteristic impedance become, so the tendency is to select thicker cables.

High Frequency

We have a lineup of products that can be used in the high frequency band from DC to 6 GHz.

4.3/10 Din Type RF Connectors Applications

As Power Feed Lines

In mobile communication base station construction, copper corrugated cables (WFLEX, WF-H, etc.) are often used as feeder cables connecting antennas, multiplexers, radios, etc. If the terminals of the equipment are 4.3/10 Din, a plug + processed corrugated cable will be used. Since we can process cables at our company, we can also provide express services when you are in a hurry.

Trivia: Copper Corrugated Cable

Copper corrugated cables are widely used in mobile band communication base station construction as coaxial cables with lower loss than ordinary coaxial cables (using a braided mesh outer conductor) by using ring-shaped corrugated copper tubes as the outer conductor.
Our connectors can be attached to copper corrugated cables manufactured by Fujikura Dia Cable.

For Free Ports on Equipment

In mobile communication base station construction, there may be unused empty ports for antennas, common equipment, radio equipment, etc. If the equipment has 4.3/10 Din terminals, waterproof caps and terminators are used. In many cases, the caps are used for antennas, and the terminators are used for common-use and radio equipment to close the unoccupied ports. In addition to our regular lineup, we have also developed a one-touch type that does not require screw mating for specific carrier installation. Please contact us for more information.

Conversion Connector for Equipment Replacement

When replacing equipment such as antennas, multiplexers, and radios in mobile communication base station construction, the type of equipment and cables (power feed lines, jumpers, etc.) may differ. If the terminals of the equipment or cables are 4.3/10 Din, conversion connectors are used. Conversions for all plug (male) and jack (female) patterns are available for "4.3/10 Din – 7/16 Din" and "4.3/10 Din - N", respectively. In addition, we also offer a 4.3/10 Din jack (female) to jack (female) adapter for use when the length of the power feed line is not long enough. The flange connector (EIA7/8) used in relatively old mobile base stations is also useful when replacing radio equipment or cables.

4.3/10 Din Type RF Connector FAQ

QWhat is Din?

A

Din refers to connectors, in general, which are standardized by German Industrial Standard Products. Therefore, it often refers to circular multi-core connectors.
In the case of coaxial connectors, products such as 7/16, 4.3/10, and 1.0/2.3 connectors fall into this category.

1.0/2.3 connectors are not included in our regular product lineup but can be custom-ordered.

QWhat is the difference between 7/16 Din and 4.3/10 Din connectors?

A

7/16 Din connectors are larger than 4.3/10 Din connectors; like 4.3/10 Din connectors, they are screw-mating types. Both are widely used in European equipment, with 4.3/10 Din being the newer standard.

> 7/16 Din

QWhat is an NXT connector?

A

NXT connector is used in newer equipment than 7/16 Din and 4.3/10 Din connectors. Smaller and lighter than 4.3/10 Din. Can be mated with NEX10 connectors manufactured by other companies that conform to the IEC 61169-71 standard. Can be coupled with Ericsson, Nokia, and other wireless communication devices with NEX10 connector ports.

> NXT

QDo you have waterproof connectors?

A

All 4.3/10 Din caps and terminations are waterproof. This eliminates the need for tape wrapping during installation and helps to improve installation efficiency.
